3/30: Looooong Skirt

I bought this skirt a while ago but this is actually the first time I have worn it. I had been searching everywhere for a long, pleated skirt but came up empty handed for the longest time... Until I went to the thrift store with my boyfriend to find some new dress shirts for him and I stumbled upon this skirt. I don't know why anyone would have given this skirt up but thank you to whoever did!

3/30: Long Skirt
White Tee: Charlotte Russe, ?
Vest: Weaver, Thrifted, $2.50
Skirt: Juno, Thrifted, $2.99
Boots: CA Collection by Cirrini, Thrifted, $6.50
Glasses: SEE Eyewear

I'm already envisioning this skirt paired with a little leather jacket like this pretty little lady... The tough leather jacket paired with a pretty, frilly skirt just totally does it for me. I love the mix of the two.

3/30: Long Skirt

I tried to do my own mix of tough and frilly today. Animal print is pretty tough, right? I think so. I think it is especially tough in a black and gray mix as opposed to the usual brown and tan tones. My boots were a nice mix of tough and frilly too - high skinny heel on an almost sneaker like boot. I know you can't see them very well here, but feel free to refer back to my list of pieces for a better photo.

Plus, as you know, any skirt that passes a twirl test gets an A+ in my book. I'm easy to please. :)

I Remix Because: I gain a whole new appreciation for my wardrobe - especially the thirty pieces I spend some extra time with for the month.

  1. I was gonna do a maxi skirt in my remix but I got too scared. I have the most difficult time styling them for some reason. This looks awesome on you, though!

  7. Not only are you playing with tough and delicate but the proportions are marvelous. I love how the skirt seems to pop out from under your vest and gives you that great, full twirl. What an inspired setup!

  9. Hurray for maxi skirts! For some reason, they always get a lot of flak so it's nice to see someone styling them with pride. That twirly picture of you looks like it belongs on some sort of album cover for a famous band. Heehee.
